This was my first wedding for 2012 and it was pretty sweet! Amazingly, the weather for this January wedding was near 60 degrees. Daniel is also a wedding photographer and graphic designer and when he told me he was getting married in January I was surprised. It’s not a popular month to get married. I don’t think that Daniel could have picked a better day of the year. Everything worked out perfectly. I was very touched by the love shown by their friends and family. Even the older brother managed to get me all choked up when he was relating how much he loved his younger brother. You really can’t do this job without feeling connected to your client. Daniel and Jeni had the best engagement video and story I have ever seen. It was just sheer fun to be a part of their day.
Also, as a note to you photographers that follow my work, I broke down last week and bought the VSCO film for adobe. After seeing that several photographers I respect like Jonas Peterson, Stacy Reeves, Jeremy Cowart, and Sara Wert were using it, I decided to try it out. I really do like it. It’s so easy to use and it does a great job of simulating film photography because the outputs from lightroom or adobe are made to match the camera profile you are using. They have kodak, fuji, and several other conversions. Check it out! Oh and hey, it can be your first write off of 2012! Bonus 😛
I love this shot, that was taken as Jeni was going back into the church. Daniel can’t keep his eyes off her!
I love how they used their engagement photos for table decor at the reception. They printed their photos on vellum and stuck a tea light behind it. Isn’t it pretty?
Okay Jeni, when you became a famous singer, because I am confident you will, remember that I am your favorite photographer next to Daniel. Right!?!
Love this shot of Daniel and his baby brother 🙂
