Jay and Motrya were married this past May in a very intimate affair at St. Dominics Catherdral in Washington D.C. This was my first time photographing at the cathedral and it was one of the prettiest I have seen so far. Jay and Motrya opted to do a first look before the ceremony which provided ample time for us to do formal bride and groom shots around the National Monuments. We spent time at Iwo Jima and then we headed over to the Jefferson, which is always a stately place and perfect for the images I wanted to capture. For the reception we headed over to Carmines, for dinner and dessert. This was also my first time at Carmines and the ambiance and environment were so perfect for a small wedding. Carmines did a great job catering the reception and the food was delicious!
Jay and Motrya are two of the kindest people I know. They have genuine care and love for each other and it showed in every aspect from Jay holding her dress for her as she stepped into the limo, to Motrya’s perfect anticipation leading up to the first look, to their first dance where you could tell the only people in the room they could see in that moment were each other. It was such a joy to witness and capture their love. Congratulations Jay and Motrya!
So beautiful!!!
