I can’t believe how fast summer flew by!! It was crazy for me. On top of the usual summer weddings, which were many, I also had a lot of personal travel from Idaho, Utah, Louisiana, and Washington State. It was a lot of time spent on airplanes and in cars, but it was well worth it. My grandma also passed away this summer and it was quite a loss for me personally. My grandma was a integral part of my childhood and even though she was 90 when she passed, it seemed like she was the woman who would live forever. I’m sure going to miss her!
I’ve photographed so many beautiful weddings this year and I feel bad I haven’t had time to blog them all! I hope to catch up in the near future. But for now, I couldn’t let another day pass without sharing this gorgeous lavendar and lilac themed wedding at the beautiful Silverbrook Farm in Purcellville, Virginia. Chris and Alex are so equally matched that it’s easy to see why they fell in love! They both love the outdoors and appreciate time with family and friends. One cute story was of Alex going on a ski trip with Chris and his friends. Alex didn’t know how to ski at the time but she was very interested in Chris. She braved the slopes and with the help of Chris, she was able to pick it up and it’s now something they enjoy together.
The day at Silverbrook Farm was forecasted to be raining, but just as I knew it would happen, there was no rain and the weather was perfect! There was even an evening bonfire for her guests to enjoy! It was a beautiful day in every way possible. Enjoy perusing these images from Chris & Alex’s day!

I can’t say enough, how much I loved her Claire Pettibone dress! Alex got it at a trunk show in NYC.
