I was chatting with my mom on the phone the other day, as we often do and my mom asked me the question: “Shauna, what inspires you?” It got me thinking of all the things that I feel are influencing my art these days and while some of these may seem silly or even questionable, I swear I think they influence me 🙂 And no I am not getting paid by anyone or company I am featuring here.
My road. I get to run on this sweet piece of earth as often as it’s not raining. Every day it takes my breath away.
Natural textures found in nature. I love texture and patterns and I snapped these two shots on my iphone when I was in Washington in July.
I know what you’re thinking and this inspires me not because it’s Orlando Bloom, but because of the way photographer Matthew Brookes captured him in an iconic and candid way, seen in the latest issue of InStyle Magazine.
When are you coming back? Chick-fil-a peppermint shakes are something I look forward to all year long. The peppermint refreshes my senses and the sugar probably helps too 😉
Wind in my hair. Love the feeling of fresh fall air whipping through my hair. I also love movement in my photography and maybe it comes from this.
Teavana! My daughter came home from the mall with a bag of dried herbs and it kind of got me hooked. I spend way to much moolah there. Last month, I discovered a local tea master and after I indulge in some of her delights, I’ll update you on my thoughts.
Okay, okay I know those that know me know I love music that can get a party started, however, something magical happens in the kitchen when I turn on The Three Tenors live in concert. My food instantaneously gets better. I don’t know why but I don’t question it.Lastly, what’s not to love about Pride and Prejudice? I love the BBC version too, but the latest one with Keira Knightly knocks my socks off. Not only do I love the story, obviously I am a romantic, but I also love the way this movie was filmed. The transitions from scene to scene are superb and it inspires my photography.
So my question to you is, what inspires you? Leave a comment on the post. I’d love to know!!
Lately, the Tea Party inspires me; especially Senator Ted Cruz.
I loved your today’s blog, except for Orlando Bloom with that wrinkly forehead, which makes him appear either worried or scared. (I can’t discern which…)
