It’s one of those gray and rainy northwest days here in Virginia. I find comfort in rainy days like this one probably because it reminds me of Washington State and growing up under constant cloud cover was just the way it was. I was so used to the gray skies that when it was blue and bright, I really learned to appreciate it. I think that is partly why Washingtonians really stick around because when it is a clear day, it simply can’t be beat.
Today I welcome the rain. We have had a dry year here in Virginia and we need the rain desperately. As much as I hate sports games getting rescheduled and play dates rearranged, it allows me time to knuckle under and get a lot done. I love warming myself up a cup of tea on these days and my favorite at the moment is Celestial Seasoning’s Bengal Spice. It’s warm with cinnamon and sweet enough but not too sweet. Love it.
