This cute baby boy came into my Loudoun Virginia newborn studio last month and was the perfect little subject. He actually was a very big subject for being a newborn. He weighed in at 10 lbs. 12 oz. making him my biggest newborn to date. I loved his little chubby cheeks and very agreeable personality. I also loved that they brought his dad's kilt from their wedding. What a great way to use a family heirloom in his newborn session. Enjoy! …
Erin & Tom’s Engagement Photos: Loudoun Wedding Photographer
Erin and Tom were married last weekend at Whitehall Manor in Bluemont. It was a gorgeous day all the way around. Before they got married though, they did engagements and I wanted to share those with you before their wedding makes it to the blog. These were taken right here in beautiful Loudoun County. Being a Virginia wedding photographer has been so much fun because I get to find these lovely spots of earth that are so serene and beautiful. I never tire of the beauty that is right here …
Riverside on the Potomac Wedding, Brittney & Nathan: Virginia Wedding Photographer
Brittney & Nathan were easily the most carefree and worry free couple I have ever worked with. I knew that Brittney's wedding was going to be spectacular. I stalked her and her mother's pinterest boards and I also knew they hired one of the preeminent florists in the area, Holly Chapple. Brittney's mom also works at my daughter's school so I would hear little updates once in a while from my daughter. Leading up to the wedding I remember talking to Brittney and she was so calm about …
My favorite things, Watters Wedding Gowns: Virginia Wedding Photographer
The wedding this past weekend at Silverbrook Farm was a real jaw dropper. From the florals to the decor, to the guests, and of course my couple, Steffanie and Greg. When I show up for a wedding, I usually start with a few detail shots to document everything from the wedding gown to the decor for the reception. When I saw Steffi's gown made by Watters, I had to pause and admire it. It was so gorgeous and different from most of the gowns I am seeing these days. The color was a beautiful …
Stoneleigh Golf & Country Club Wedding, Gennie & Cody: Virginia Wedding Photographer
Gennie & Cody have such a sweet love story that it's worth retelling. They met serendipitously at a friend's backyard barbeque. They before they knew it, Gennie's ride had left the barbeque which left her with only one thing to do, ask Cody for a ride home. In exchange for $40 in gas, since it was quite a distance, Cody took Gennie home. The very next day, he invited her to lunch and used the $40 to buy her lunch. Cody, you are a smart man! There's a lesson here which is, don't wait to …
