So my eyes are a little droopy after staying up late last night listening to the election returns coming in. I have to admit that I was more than ready to be done with the election. So many phone calls and political ads. Now hopefully as a divided nation, we can all pick up the pieces and find a way to work together for the good of our country. And for me, that means getting on with my work and hence, the lovely post today. This session happened when it was beautiful and warm out. The …
Amy & Leif are Having a Baby: Loudoun Newborn Photographer
I have got to be the worst blogger in the history of bloggers this fall. Usually I love to post every single session but with weddings still in full swing and numerous family sessions, I've found it so hard to keep up! I seriously am going to try to find a better system for the blog once things slow down in February. These two were so much fun to hang out with. We were fortunate that this session was done before the big hurricane and before we lost a lot of our leaves. Isn't fall in …
Maggie Anderson, Singer & Songwriter: Band Photographer, Commercial Photography
Meet Maggie Anderson, singer, songwriter, and artist. She is adorable! I loved working with her on images for her soon to be released C.D. cover and press kit. It was too much fun and she seriously rocked the shoot from the get go. Loved working with you Maggie! …
A happy announcement + a favorite vendor: Northern Virginia Family Photography

It's that time of year where appointments get snatched up quicker that you can write them down and everyone is in full preparation mode for the holidays. What I love most about this time of year is connecting with some of my favorite families and clients. It is so gratifying to capture a family again and again and see their families grow and change. This was my first time capturing this family, though I have had the …
Something’s a little “Hokie” : Virginia Maternity & Newborn Photographer
Okay I know, the pun was silly but I couldn't resist. I loved everything about both of these sessions. First the maternity session was just perfect. We did the session at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg. Such a pretty place for just about any shoot and they also do weddings there too. The weather was so great and I was worried because the day started off gray and gloomy but by the time I got there, the ground was this beautiful mist and the warm sun came out to play. JD and Rebecca are so …
