Great things have been happening here over that last couple of months. First off, I won two wedding photography awards. The first was the Knot's best pick of weddings, which includes the top 1 % of wedding photographers in the country. The second award was Wedding Wire's Couple's Choice Award for 2014, which also recognizes the top performing wedding photographers. And as if that wasn't enough, I found out that a wedding I photographed this past fall will be in the fall issue of the Knot …
Emma & Ryan make cute babies: Loudoun Newborn Photographer
When Emma walked through the door and I got my first peek at Mr. Joe, I knew he was his father's son. He looks just like his dad! Sometimes babies come with no immediate likeness to either parent, but not in this case. Joe is the sweetest baby and did such a stellar job with his newborn portraits. He settled in so nicely and he gave me a smile in his first image which told me, it was going to be a fabulous session. Emma is such a good mom to Joe. She just loves on him and you can tell …

I have been thinking a lot lately about this gift it is to be a photographer. I woke up this morning and thought what would I do if I weren't a …

Today I want to share with you something that's great for wedding photographers and brides too. Urban Decay is one of my favorite makeup brands. I love their color palettes and their makeup is designed to last all day. When you live in a state like Virginia where it's super humid in the summer, that makeup …
