I really enjoy the holidays because the focus is really on spending time with those that matter most in your life. This is the second time I have had the pleasure of working with this family this year. I love developing a relationship with my clients and it makes my job so much more enjoyable when I know I will be working with familiar faces again. This particular session left a significant impression on me that I think I will remember for the rest of my life.
Monica had been planning on having her brother and parents in town for Thanksgiving and wanted to make sure that she captured that time through photos. She had her session scheduled in August and I knew this was important to her. The day of the session, wouldn’t you know it but her brother’s kids were sick. Darn the luck! It was too bad they weren’t feeling well, but in spite of that we were able to capture a group photo at the very end and as you can see from the pic, they will always remember this Thanksgiving, p.j.’s and all!
What touched me most from this entire session was photographing Monica with her brother and parents. I am a bit sensitive, I will admit, but I couldn’t help but tear up as I watched the affection between her parents. As her dad looked at her mom, I could see he was getting choked up and Monica’s mom said: “What’s wrong?” He replied: “I can’t believe it’s been 47 years.” I nearly lost it. As I write this, I am still tearing up. How amazing and wonderful it is to see such a deep and rich love after 47 years! I admire families like this and feel so privileged to have these experiences in my life. Truly I am blessed.
All of the Olsen’s family photos are beautiful! The Tillett’s together, the children together, every combination is gorgeous! I heard that the children were ill on that morning, but you even managed to get them into the group! I Just loved them all!!!!
Abby is such a beautiful little girl and her dress and hair were perfect, or at least you captured it as such!!!!
Great job!!!!!!
GREAT WORK!!!!!!
