Sometimes do you ever wonder how life can be so good, I mean the pinch me this must be a dream kind of good? That’s how I feel lately. Life is just good. The primary reason why I love being a photographer is that I love people. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, seeing life through their eyes, and gaining new perspectives that I didn’t have before. It truly is the most satisfying job I have ever had. I also love that what I do provides others with lasting memories like the kind I cherish of my family, grandparents, and my own children. If you are thinking about a future career in photography and you love people, I urge you to pursue it.
Renee and Pat are two people that have reaffirmed my career choice and make me feel so blessed that I get to do what I do. I met them last August completely on a whim, sort of. They called me the day of their wedding because their photographer was “sick” and wasn’t able to shoot that day. Lucky me, I was able to step right in and I had no idea that they would become one of my favorite couples and weddings so far. It was so spur of the moment that everything was caught as it was happening and no planning regarding the venue or participants was known to me in advance. I loved the spontaneity of it all and I felt like I had an adrenaline rush all day, and I do love excitement!! You can see their wedding post here: Renee + Pat {married}.
Renee wanted to do some couples shots and given that their 1 year anniversary is this month, I thought it was a great idea. I enjoyed catching up with them and Pat recently graduated from the Air Force Academy and they are just now getting settled in Colorado. It was so fun that we found these antique skiis to shoot with at the Lucketts Store. It was fun! Renee and Pat, I hope Colorado treats you well, you will be missed!
LOVE the pictures, guys! The first black and white one might be my favorite though. I do really like the one with Pats nametag and Renees rings too. Looks like a really cool place for pictures too! Miss you guys!
