It’s that time of year when parents are starting to think about Holy First Communion. Even though it seems a ways off, it will be here before you know it and making sure you capture this significant occasion is not something you will regret. It’s a milestone and something to be celebrated. And looking back on your own life, how much do you enjoy looking at photos of your parents and grandparents at each important phase in life? I know I cherish every photo I can get my hands on and I love the connection I feel to my family as I look through old photographs. One day your children’s children will be doing the same thing and wouldn’t you love to give your posterity the gift of beautiful photography?
This First Communion session took place last spring. The parents wanted something a little non-conventional so we focused on getting beautiful outdoor shots at an orchard in Purcellville and then we went to St. Francis in Purcellville for some photos by the church. It was a lovely spring day and I am so glad I could capture this time for them. It was so much fun and Miss “C” really enjoyed her time in front of the camera so we ended up with a ton of great images.
If you or someone you know is having First Communion this year, give me a call.
